hello all.. well we are planning another trip to maui for next year and are very interrested in staying in a nice condo this time we have stayed at resorts and did have a great time. how ever we are looking to try and save a little bit so as we can stay longer this time. we really liked the kaanapali are or just north of there. but would be interested in the south maui area as well. thanks to all for any input. blake %26amp; brenda
looking to stay at a nice condo in west maui.
Try looking up the Aston Kaanapali Shores. We have stayed there a few times, and really liked it. They have 2 pools, 2 hot tubs, a restaurant, shops and nice sized units with great views. We paid for a garden view and still got an ocean view. They have a decent beach, and most of the propert has been updated. I think they are still working on updating the units, but you can always request one that has already been updated. Like I said, we really like it, and we are quite spoiled. Also try the Aston Kaanapali Villa, closer to Black Rock. This property is not quite as nice as the Shores, but is still a comfortable property. They have, I think, 2 pools, and a restaurant as well.
looking to stay at a nice condo in west maui.
thanks fitz we have looked at the kaanapali shores and it seems very nice. we do like the kaanapali area with the nice beach front walk and whalers village for eats and shoping. we stayed at the sheraton ih may and liked the beach area there. how is the beach at the kaanapali shores?
What kind of condo, what nightly price, AC or no AC, Ocean front, Beautiful beech, nice beach, beach not important, quiet or noisy? Just a few questions to start. Some are biased towards West Maui, some South.
I went for what I thought was the best Bang-for-the-Buck. Of course there are trade-offs. For the right money you can have it all.
those are all great questions venture man well let see a 1 bed room,, nice beach good for swiming snorkeling and laying out. would love ocean front but ocean view will do. semi quiet we don%26#39;t mind some noise like from a band or some nice hawaiian music we are pretty easy going people. price not really sure what condos go for but somewhere in the 100- 175 a nite maybe. we still have alot of reasearch to do i know, was just wanting to hear from people who have stayed at any condos and to what they thought about that particular one. hope this helps with any replies. thanks again
Well, do a search on this forum for Valley Isle. There has been quite a bit of discussion around that resort and others in or near Napili (West Maui). Expect about $150/nite which includes tax.
In Kehei, folks seem to like SugarBeach condos. You won%26#39;t want Maui Sunset condos as the beach is not swimmable, but the grounds are very nice.
The the rankings on Trip Advisor too (look to your left on the screen).
Fitz%26#39;s is right about the Shores, was there last month, its a nice place.

Shows all the condo%26#39;s you can get an idea.
well we will keep up with our research thanks li1up for the site. thank you to venture man we will try that search as well. so many to choose from but i%26#39;m sure the more we look the better we can narrow it down. the shores is up there on the top of our list. it looks really nice. anyone else out there stay at any other condos that they liked alot? thanks you guys.
The Ka%26#39;anapali Villa%26#39;s has 3 pools, no jacuzzi. The property is getting old, and starting to show it%26#39;s age. We%26#39;ve stayed there 9 times, we know an owner of a condo there.... I hope ResortQuest who manages this property for Aston, starts taking a little more interest.
Great beach though, and it%26#39;s very quit.
Island
If you are intested in South Maui there a lot more options on very usable beaches that have ocean front condos. Try Sugar Beach Resort, very affordable for an oceanfront unit, great pool and fantastic Beach. Alii Resorts has some great units in different complexes on the same beach. I was skeptical about staying there at first but we are returning this week. We love it.
The beach infront of the Shores is nice. No where near as nice as it is infront of the Sheraton, but that is hard to beat. It can be a little rocky at the Shores, but if you move south just a few feet, litterally, it is less rocky. We never had an issue with the beach there. No matter what beach you go to, it is always a good idea to get a pair of water shoes to protect your feet.
