Securing a last-minute condo

Hi -

I am new to this game and just secured a great deal on a last minute flight to hawaii -- my first time there with my lovely girlfriend.

I understand the prices and accommodations in Maui are nothing to shrug at. I am just trying to save a little on lodging -- trading a posh lobby for a functional condo and hoping to score a last minute deal -- to free up my budget for what i consider more important things.

Can anyone with a little more expertise point me in the right direction? I have been looking at vrbo for a start. I am hoping for %26gt;$130/night centrally located, hopefully near a beach we can swim in.

Thanks so much!

Napila Bay has studios in that range, no ac but folks rave about them and you are right on the water. Also Sugar Beach and Valley Isle can be rented for those prices depending on where you are in the complexes. You might check out the calendar on VRBO for a condo you like and see if the dates are open and what you can work out with the owner. Dates still open might mean they had a cancellation and will be willing to deal on the price.

Contact bello Realty (just google it) they have some great unit in south Maui which is centrally located, you acn view the interiors online.

I thought I had posted this already, but maybe not!

crhmaui.com and mauicondo.com are two good sources. They both have a good variety of rentals from which to choose, well within your price range.

Also check with windsurfari.com. They are brokers for a few different complexes. We are renting at Sugar Beach through them. Cary- the owner has gone out of his way to help us and has answered all of our questions - truthfully.
