We are planning our honeymoon to Maui in September. We were all ready to book the Maui Prince but then we stumbled upon condos that is MUCH cheaper. So where would you rather stay and why? We are willing to spend up to 250 a night for a condo, I think the Maui Prince is around 300 a night but it included convertible and breakfast.
I have read so many posts tonight, I think my eyes are going to fall out. I%26#39;m still just as confused as when I started reading them.
Honeymoon research - Maui Prince or condo?!?
Factors in your choice - length of stay, budget, amenities of hotel (fridge, microwave, size of room).
We stay in a condo (i.e. Kaanapali Alii). It seems to have more privacy (thicker walls), more space, full kitchen. It is very expensive to eat out in Maui. We found it to be very economical and healthier to eat breakfast, lunch (sandwiches, etc) at the condo and then choose to eat out, take out, or cook in the evening. It is fun to go to the outdoor market (least expensive/freshest) in the am and buy our dinner and then cook it up. Having said that I will mention that the Alii has prof. grills ocean side making the cooking experience part of the fun while drinking a nice glass of wine.
