Pleasant Holidays Tour packages

Has anyone booked the Maui Optional tours via Pleasant Holidays. I looked on the website but it does not state which outfits actually run the tours. I want to go with the outfits that I have been reading about in this forum (trilogy, etc.)but want to take advantage of price breaks (if any) and quality control of Pleasant Holidays. Any thoughts? Rants? Raves? Aloha! 47 Days and counting!

Pleasant Holidays advertises a lot in the free weekly books that are available everywhere once you get there, but we booked once we got down there with expedia because it was convenient. I rationalized that because expedia was so big there, they would be able to give some great price breaks. Everything went well on the bookings we made, but sorry, no experience with Pleasant Holidays.

I don%26#39;t believe Pleasant actually gives you a break on tours. They%26#39;re great for flight+hotel+car, but you can usually book online direct with the tour operator and get a price break.

I would only book Trilogy for their trip to Lanai. Most of their boats to Molokini are very crowded. Better to Molokini is the Four Winds II (you can find them on the web). If you%26#39;re staying at Ka%26#39;anapali Beach, there%26#39;s also several boats that pull right up to the Whaler%26#39;s Village that are great-Kapalua Kai and Gemini come to mind.

I especially don%26#39;t like that Pleasant doesn%26#39;t tell you who the tour operator is...

Luau-Old Lahaina Luau, hands down, except they don%26#39;t have a fire-knife dancer because this technically is not a Hawaiian dance.

Bike down Haleakala with either Maui Downhill or Haleakala Bike Co.

If you have time, also check out the show Ulalena - Maui Myths and Magic, and possibly Warren %26amp; Annabelle%26#39;s show.

Regarding the bike ride, I%26#39;d recommend doing the super downhill with either company. Maui Downhill lets you start at the top with this one-38 miles of downhill. The cheaper one starts you at 6500%26#39;, so you miss the crater. It is more expensive, but well worth the early morning rise.
