Where to stay

Hi all Ive been to Maui a year ago from today:( and loved it! I want to go back but was thinking a different island this time, and I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations on where to stay? I%26#39;d like and oceanfront or view...it would be my husband myself and our 16 year old son..

Where to stay

I am also planning a trip to Kauai in August (just myself and my husband), and would be grateful for any hotel recommendations - ideally ocean view as well.

Where to stay

Aloha!

For a condo, look into the Kauai Coast Resort, east side location, nice units, pretty grounds, decent pool, family orientated.

Kauai Marriott...great resort, pretty grounds, nice views, good beach, good restaurants on-site.

Pali ke Kua...north shore condo, great views, NICE in the summer, functional units.

Kiahuna Plantation...great south shore beachfront condo, good for families, functional units, clean, VERY pretty grounds!

Thanks! HB I will look into those condos....

I really loved Maui it was laid back not soo crowded and was wondering if I should just go back to Maui or try Kauai?? And what is the difference between the two??

Bebe,

Kauai is much more rural and low-key compared to Maui. You won%26#39;t find much night-life but you will find incomparable natural beauty. If you like being outdoors, you won%26#39;t be disappointed.

We spent a week each on Maui and Kauai.

Maui felt like a big city (traffic, parking garages, crowds), while Kauai felt like a small town.

We wished we had gone to Maui first for we were let down after Kauai.
