Hello everyone, I am trying to figure out how to spend 5-6 hours (afternoon) after we return from our airplane tour over the BI. We have a mixed group of six people, hiking is not an option and from what I have read, going to the VNP is totally out. We arrive at the Kona airport early am and will take a 2 hour fixed wing tour over the island. We don%26#39;t have a problem renting a vehicle but wonder if there is time to really do any sightseeing before our return flight back to Oahu around 7 pm. Thought about taking a snorkeling tour over to Captain Cook monument but is the time frame feasable? How far a drive from the airport is this? Or is there a tour company someone can recommend who would pick us up at the airport and return us? Our trip is in February so we have a few weeks left for planning but would like to make some definite plans soon. All suggestions welcome! Thanks!

it will work....rent a car, drive to Keauhou..12 miles and get an afternoon 3 hour snorkel tour that leaves at 12 and returns at3;30.
Then drive up to see the Hilton at Waikoloa beach.... tour the grounds for free... then back to the airport by 6;15 to drop the car
