Hapuna Beach Prince - Terrace View

I was wondering if anyone has stayed in a Terrace View (ground floor) room at the Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel? Do you have a lanai of your own? Is it disruptive at all, ie. are there people walking by and staring into your room? I have read many reviews but everyone seems to stay in the ocean view or deluxe ocean front. I%26#39;m afraid that%26#39;s a bit out of our budget. If anyone has seen the terrace view layout or has an opinion that would be most helpful. Thanks!

Hi GeoGirl,

I stayed at the Hapuna in June, and while I don%26#39;t remember what possibly could be the Terrace View Room, I am assuming these rooms are probably in building 4 on the ground level, there%26#39;s building 3 with the ocean front rooms blocking the view, then there%26#39;s building 2, which doesn%26#39;t have much blocking except for folliage.

I do believe there is a lanai on the ground level and the hotel is so spread out, I highly doubt you%26#39;ll be bothered with people walking back and forth in front of your room; however, there%26#39;s a good chance you%26#39;ll get upgraded anyway. While I don%26#39;t know how much you%26#39;re spending, the Hapuna is known for upgrading their guest. If you can swing a partial ocean view room, you%26#39;ll probably be upgraded to an ocean view room, like we were.

If you can, I would do some research before purchasing the room. We got the partial ocean view for only $207 a night per Great Hawaii Vacations )http://www.greathawaiivacations.com/) They were easy to work with and prices are reasonable.

Thanks for your help! We aren%26#39;t going until next June, and the Hapuna currently has a promotion running until the end of December and that is the only cheap price I can ever find. I think I will wait until after December and see if some lower prices come up for June. We seem to be going at the most expensive time, the rates take a $20/night jump the second night we%26#39;re there, but it%26#39;s our 1 year anniversary so we really want to go then! I will check out the booking agent you talked about as well.

Thanks again!

Ya, definately wait until after the New Year. In fact, we booked everything in February for our trip, which we took at the end of May to early June. We got to the Hapuna the first week in June.

Hi GeoGirl!

We%26#39;ve never stayed at the Hapuna, but we are booked for June. I got a great rate scouring the site ($307/night with breakfast AND car) for a partial ocean view. Keep looking, something will come up! If not, I%26#39;m sure the Terrace View are fine--how often are we in our rooms, anyways? Have fun!
