I have 50-something friends going to Maui in September with their 23 year old son and his girlfriend for a week. They want really close to the ocean, a nice pool, 2 bedrooms with a fold out couch or 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. They will be staying for a week and don%26#39;t care if it%26#39;s west or south Maui or even something in between if it%26#39;s really nice. Any ideas?
Which is the nicest oceanfront condo in Maui, equal in...
Aloha,
I don%26#39;t know what you mean by luxury amenities - but our condo at the Sands of Kahana has an okay pool and jacuzzi, tennis courts, an exercise room, lovely grounds with Palm trees, flowers, etc... Our condo is direct oceanfront 2br/2ba, 1580 sq ft unit with a queen size pull out couch, full kitchen, dining room and views a plenty.
Send me a email and I will send to you are web address to check out the photos, etc...

What is your email address? What I mean by luxury is a new or updated unit in a condo complex that has luxurious surroundings. Kitchen and bathroom would have really nice appliances and fixtures, maybe granite countertops, etc. Bedrooms would be nicely appointed with bedspreads and drapes similar to a 5 star hotel. I%26#39;m not sure this exists on Maui, but that%26#39;s what they want. For hubby and me, we just want close to the ocean and clean. We don%26#39;t care if things are a little worn and outdated, but these friends are used to staying in the finest hotels, but would like the convenience of having a kitchen and being really, really close to the ocean.
I see, there are plenty of posh condos like that on Maui. There are trade offs like cost per night, etc... Here is our email - terry8845@msn.com
After reading my own response it looked like our condo wouldn%26#39;t do. However, our condo is updated and has ceramic tile floors %26amp; counter tops, full kitchen, dining room, living room, two sinks in each bathroom, new custom drapes, new TVs, high speed internet access, and our condo is 50 ft from the beach with views of the islands of Lanai and Molokai.
Did you know that the Kea Lani offered villas down by the beaches? This may be something to look into.
Great idea, knr. I forgot about those villas. We went on a trip in September with friends who stayed at Kea Lani, but just in the suites. I%26#39;ll look into it. Thanks.
Mauiguy, you say there%26#39;s lots of posh condos? Have any names you%26#39;d care to share? I%26#39;m having email problems, but will keep trying to send yours. In the meantime, please list any units you know about. Thanks.
The Kaanapali Alii condos. are pretty darn nice. They have a website.
Bips,
Actually I don%26#39;t mind but don%26#39;t want to post on a forum, plus it%26#39;s like advertising for the competition. try - mauicondo4rent - with the usual www and dot com stuff. Then I will give you some leads after looking at our condo.
We stayed in a beautiful 2 bedroom condo at Kaanapali Alii Thanksgiving week. It was huge. If you request a ';premier'; unit, you will get something very nice and modern. Ours was nice, but the kitchen had not been remodeled (we really didn%26#39;t care). It had a fabulous view of Kaanapali Beach and the location is so good, we hardly used our car. I would check out the Alii.
