Booked to go there New Year%26#39;s Eve. on the recommendation of our innkeeper (Sherry, at the Aloha Pualani). Word of mouth seems to be good, but would always appreciate any other firsthand experience, or links to published (internet) reviews.

Or alternative suggestions.

For what it%26#39;s worth, we will be just freshly arriving (9 hour noonstop, Biz Class Elite from Atlanta) on December 31, and we were not at all sure we wanted to make any plans for NYE, but ultimately thought that a plan sems a good idea.

Ideas for New Year%26#39;s Day itself? Feast at LeLe?

Ho, Cuz, don%26#39;t think you%26#39;ll be able to get one reservation for Feast at Lele this late. You can try, but you have Plan B?

Ate at The Place when they first opened and it was good food. Good soup, corn chowder. I wrote up a review. Do a search here for ';Ted and Adam.'; Easy prices too. Lunch includes a salad, which is really rare these days. But they are hard to find, many people don%26#39;t even know they are back there.

Thinking, perhaps of Plantation House, or Mama%26#39;s.

Ate at The Place on Dec 31 for lunch. My husband and a friend ordered their BLT sandwich. VERY small portions for a $9 sandwich. Remember that commercial in the 80s, where the lady says ';Where%26#39;s the beef?'; ... Well, on the BLT, ';Where%26#39;s the bacon?'; was the question. Only 1 strip of bacon.

I ordered their BBQ chicken pizza. It was okay and nothing spectacular. It was undercooked. I wouldn%26#39;t order it again and they will not order the BLT again. I%26#39;m not sure if we would go there again, but if we did, we would try something different.
