Maui

Have not been to Maui for 18 years. Have always stayed at the Whaler. Am going in Feb with family, two girls 18 and 13, boy 15. Looking for good family restraunts, plus hiking and other family activies. Staying at the Papakea. Any suggestions.

Try a picnic snorkel sail on the Gemini (leaves from in front of the Westin geminicharters.com). Includes all the food and drink. Kids will love it.

Aloha!

Good family restaurants:

Aloha Mixed Plate...cheap, good food, take it to go or eat at beachside tables.

Bubba Gump%26#39;s...touristy but fun, moderatly priced, loud, good views, lively place...teens love it.

Honokawai Okazuya and Deli...take it to go, awesome food, cheap prices!

CJ%26#39;s Deli...good food, cheap prices, accommodating staff

Castaway Cafe...breakfast, lunch, dinner...moderate prices, good views, friendly staff.

Kimo%26#39;s...good views, they have all kinds of food, a little pricey for dinner, enough choices to please everyone.

Mamma%26#39;s Ribs and chicken up in Napili...cheap, good food, take it back to your condo!

Thank for the info. Bob

Cheeseburgers in Paradise, Lahaina. $10 burgers and a treat from ';eating out'; all the time!

Were staying at the papakea Feb 6 - 14th. Got ourselves an ocean front, ground floor, corner unit in the L wing.

You can WALK 2 hotel down, for a fine dining experance or walk next door (another Resortquest hotel) and get lunch or dinner.

Both have bars, If you have any question on the papakea let me know, since we stay there every year.

We have booked a three bedroom ocean veiw, have read both the good and bad comments - hopefully the good are the majority. We want reasonable price good food - know that the whaler village has some.

I like to cook at the condo, There is a star market accross the street, good deli department.

Eat once at Mama%26#39;s. With the kids at those ages, do Captain Steve%26#39;s rafting trip to Lanai, and do the zipline. Fun will be had by all!

We just returned from the condos next door. A lot of trip advisor user on this site recommend the Okazuya Deli which is supposed to be close and reasonably priced, but we didn%26#39;t find it. The Maui reveled book recommends the Soup Nuts restuarant which is also located in the Star market ';plaza'; nearby.
