Husband has seen we%26#39;re near a golf course - - does anyone know the cost of a round? Can clubs be rented there? We%26#39;re already carrying dive gear!

Anyway, Princeville and Poipu courses are probably the most expensive at approximately $175.00. Late afternoon fees are far less. Marriott has discounts for their clients at the adjacent courses. Don%26#39;t know about rentals there.

Public Kauai County courses, like the Wailua Golf Course at Lihue, are about $50.00, and less for late afternoon and you can get 9-hole fees. Clubs can be rented.

My brother found enough abandoned clubs, balls and older bag in good shape, to play when he stopped at the charity Kauai Humane Society Shelter Thrift Shop. It is in a tiny shopping area in Lihue near a Subway sandwich shop and maybe across the street from a Pizza Hut. Like they say ';one man%26#39;s junk is another man%26#39;s treasure';. Good luck.

I think Princeville charges $150-175, Poipu Bay $125. Wailua County course is $32-44. Even though I work on a golf course, I chose not to play any of them because there is so much else to do.

Best buy for golf on Kauai is a little municipal course above Poipu. It%26#39;s in a public park and although not USGA grade upkeep, it sure is a nice little course to play for little $$$.

Girlfriend and I played nine, riding cart and 1 set of rental clubs, all for $26.00 (everything, total price). Walking fee is $11 for as many holes as you want to play; 9 to 99.

Go early, as there is normally a 1 hr. wait to tee off.

Snack shop is good and we used the hour to have lunch before we played.

The place that Barney is thinking of is the Kalaheo golf course. It is about a 20min drive from Poipu. I don%26#39;t play golf so I don%26#39;t know how good the course is, but there are some amazing views as it is on top of a hill.

That%26#39;s the Kukuiolono Golf Course in Kalaheo. It%26#39;s a nine hole local course, very cheap. We don%26#39;t golf, but we stop by every few years just to walk the grounds and Japanese garden there. Now there%26#39;s even a short walking trail. Gorgeous view from the Kukuiolono Park/Golf Couse.

If you%26#39;re near the Wailua Golf Course, it%26#39;s reasonablly priced and I think you can rent clubs there. (Not sure, but I think my cousin rented clubs when he played there.) You can also just hit balls at their driving range with borrowed clubs there.

You are right on the money. It is Kukuiolono park %26amp; golf course. And, yes you can rent clubs at Wailua, which is a really fun course to play since a few of the holes run right along the ocean. I%26#39;ve played that one many times over the years. Thanks for the help.
