took the tour this past tuesday --- if you get a chance do it -- take a deep breath and step off the platform
they start short and easy --- the last zip is 650 ft long -- its 100 ft down and you travel at 40 mi per hour----
im there again the next time we visit maui
zip lineHow much is it? Where in Maui? How does it work (do you just hang on with your hands?)?
zip lineHere%26#39;s the website on the zipline tour. It will answer all your questions :)

up the mountain towards the crater --- on line i think it was about 65.00--you have some mountain climbing webbing around your waist and upper legs --- you are attached to the wire with a mountain climbing roller type track -- you hold on to the webbing and step off the ramp--then gravity takes over

Hi! Are there any coupons that discount this? I bought a 2005 entertainment book from someone and I know that there are coupons around, so would love to see if I can get a discount. I saw that you get a discount by booking on line but would love to find another or better one. Mahalo!
the only other place that i can think of is at one of the discount kisoks you see all around the place --- dont remember seeing a sign for zip lining though
i got another discount from lahaina ticket co -- here is their telephone number so you might want to call and check it out 808 662 0034
They are supposed to be building another one near lahaina which they said would be finished in the spring. At least that%26#39;s what our guide said a few weeks ago.
They offer a 10% discount if you book on-line. That%26#39;s the only discount I know of. Plus, I would actually recommend booking on-line before you go anyway as this activity fills up fast.
Was it scary? We%26#39;re doing it in a couple weeks, and I am not a big fan of heights, but it looks fun! Will my husband have to push me?
;)

not scary but it could be intimidating -- after all you have to voluntarily step off a platform into thin air or run down an inclined ramp until you run out of ramp --they do start you off gradually building up to the big one-- 650 ft long --100 feet down and 40 mph
even though they only allow one person on the takeoff/landing area at a time i would be very nice to your husband for at least 24 hrs as he could tip the guide to ';help you'; off the ramp
there is a nice restaurant kula lodge about 5 miles from the zipline---------you pass it on the right --if you have time either before or after for something to eat and a great view
suggestions - bring a jacket or sweater with you as it gets chilly- wear long pants and closed toe shoes/sneakers-- also i would suggest that if you have them to bring a thin pair of gloves (driving gloves) with you -- dont go buy them but if you have them it will be a little easier on your hands
Hi,
How long does the whole thing take? The reason I ask is that we are traveling with someone whoe does not want to do zipline...but since we were in the area we were going to go to the winery and poke around the area after zipping. Our friend wants to do both of those. Would she be able to hang out at the zipline building?
Any thoughts are appreciated.
