lougee, the prices you listed look good to me. Yesterday, I made reservations for the Marriott Luau in Wailea for 5 of us and the price was $63.71 per person (using my local kamaaina discount, inviting up to 6 people). I called the Old Lahaina Luau and they told me they were fully booked until mid July and that we could be put on a waiting list. She quoted me $61.98 each for my husband and I (with our discount) and she said our guests would only get 10% off of the regular rate and so their cost would be $79.69 each. I ended up not booking with OLL, because I didn%26#39;t want to be on a wait list, because of the uncertainty of it. Plus, we live in Kihei, and we prefer a luau closer to home. Hope this helps!

lougee1043 - I am about 80 miles from MBS. Last time we flew to Hawaii we went out of there. For whatever reason NWA prices are about $200 less if you do so (we did not purchase tickets but used FF miles and MBS was the closes airport to let us go first class, all the others we taken).

As to your luau question w have only been to the OLL and Royal. The OLL was the best but the Royal was pretty good.

you must be north into the thumb or toward the u p -----i could look in the atlas but means getting up from the computer

i found you --interesting that you are southwest of saginaw-- originally figured you must be north but your not -- cheaper to fly out of mbs then dtw or lansing --wow--------i remember the good old days when i flew from mbs to dtw with one stop in i think lansing but not sure--- on north central the blue goose

Yes I am sw of MBS. Another reason we used it is one of our daughters lived in Bay City at the time. We would normally fly out of Flint but the last time we went the only available FF seats were out of MBS.

The new and improved DTW is maybe 10 miles further for us to drive but the prices are ALWAYS higher even though if you fly out of Flint to DTW (wooping 20 mile flight) you end up on the same plane...go figure.

bill --thats the city i meant to post saginaw to btw with a stop in flint-flying time 12 minutes----------we used to joke that the plane never took off just taxied down the interstate to flint

The time have changed, no more stops in FNT from MBS....25 minute DIRECT flight to Detroit...lol

On the 12 minute FNT to DTW flight there is always one person who wants to know what the movie and meals are for the flight.....
