Does anyone know if there is a season when the airfares (from US west coast) are cheaper? I just want to visit my daughter so I don%26#39;t need hotel package. Thanks.
Cheapest season for airfares?
Aloha Airlines sent me an e-mail on Thursday (I%26#39;m signed up with them and Hawaiian Air to receive notice of special fares), advising of round-trip fares from West Coast to Honolulu, Maui or Kona for $149-$199 each way (depending on day of departure). Travel dates good until August 21, but unfortunately, I think you had to book by 06/17. I know this probabaly doesn%26#39;t help you now, but I would consider getting on these airlines e-mail list for future specials.
Cheapest season for airfares?
The lowest prices tend to be after the Christmas and New Year holidays until March or April when they spike a bit for spring break and Easter. They go back down again until June 10th or so when they SOAR to astronomical levels for summer and stay high until around Sept. 10th or so. Between mid-Sept. and the holidays isn%26#39;t too bad. For example, in mid-January, I%26#39;ve done LA to Kauai for $387 r/t on Hawaiian Airlines. That same flight in July is more than $700 on Hawaiian!!
suggest you try airtohawaii.com in an attempt to find a good airfare for the dates you wish to travel
Mid-Sept. to mid-Nov. and mid-Jan to mid-March.
Thanks to all...that%26#39;s great because mid-Jan to mid-March would suit me best anyway (HI is even better when escaping cold weather!)
Hawaiian airline sent me a notice $129.99 each way if you go in June.
There%26#39;s actually a website called airtohawaii! Amazing! The things you can learn here...
