Hi! I would like any activities/trips/resturants/etc... you think two twenty-something newlyweds would like to do -- we are from Cincinnati, so any beach/water time we have will be used!!! For our locations, we are staying at the Turtle Bay Resort 4 nights (Oahu), Hapuna Beach 4 nights (Hawaii), and Ho%26#39;oilo House 6 nights (Maui-Lahaina area). We%26#39;ll have a rental car on each island. Any ideas and/or suggestions will be appreciated!! Also, is the All day Trilogy Lanai tour (starts at 10 am) worth $170 each?
Honeymoon Tips on Oahu, Hawaii, and Maui
sommerlovin: While at Turtle Bay, I recommend their dinner on the beach. Its a fixed menu, so its very inexpensive (about $25 per person I think). They cook it and serve it right on the beach and they provide entertainment as well. They only do this a couple of nights a week so check with the hotel staff.
There are also several good restaurants in Haleiwa as well (about 15 minutes away).
We go to Turtle Bay each year. We%26#39;ll be going back in March again for a few weeks. Wouldn%26#39;t think of going anywhere else. Why mess with success?
Enjoy your trip. It sounds great.
Honeymoon Tips on Oahu, Hawaii, and Maui
Thanks, Grunt! :-) I appreciate every tidbit of info. we can get. Is the dinner on the beach something we can reserve ahead of time? I want to make sure we can enjoy it--sound perfect. Have fun in March! I am jealous you get to see WHALES!!!! Take care, Sommer
What time of year will you be here? (Oahu) Makes a little bit of difference in beach rec%26#39;s due to ocean conditions. Or, even where to spot whales if you are here then.
Definitely hike Waimea Falls Audobon Park. It%26#39;s more of a stroll (paved surfaces) than a hike but very beautiful.
What other things are you interested in?
You will love turtle bay. We just got back from our honeymoon going to those same three islands. My trip reports are all on here, but are all under the Oahu forum..oops! We had a wonderful trip. Definately check out Motsumoto%26#39;s Shave Ice while on the North Shore. I think you will just really enjoy the location and lovely property Turtle Bay has to offer. It%26#39;s not too far of a drive into Waikiki.
On the Big Island a helicopter tour is a must! We took Tropical Helicopters and did the doors off volcano and waterfalls tour and loved it. Also, I would highly recommend being at the Volcano at night (right before the sun goes down) and then wait to see the lava flow into the ocean!
Maui was my favorite island! I highly recommend the Road to Hana. A must eat is Mama%26#39;s Fishouse! We also loved Nick%26#39;s Fishmarket and enjoyed watching the sunset at the Fairmont Kea Lani. I also loved the Old Lahaina Luau.
You can%26#39;t go wrong in Hawaii!!!
Is it June yet? I am sooo excited. We%26#39;ll be there June 23-July 9 this summer. Thanks for all the advice, I am going to write everything down!!! We love to snorkel, beach it, and relax. We%26#39;ll try anything once!
THANK YOU EVERYONE! Keep %26#39;em coming! :)
