The work day is only halfway over and I am GLEEFULLY thinking of being in Maui. It has been brutal and I still have another half to go. I will keep a positive outlook on life and keep remembering that in about 2 weeks I will be in a tropical paridise.
I hope Hawaii is as wonderful as everyone says it is...I can use it!
My mind is halfway to maui

You have no idea. It will be so much better then can be described with words it has to be experienced.
My mind is halfway to maui

I hope that you enjoy it. You live in Tampa, which is a very pretty spot. I hope that being in the zone where you live that you have not become jaded to tropical climates.
I love Hawaii because in Oregon, there is just nothing like it. We have cold, yucky rain, no palm trees, no Aloha, no white sandy warm beaches, no plumaria, no..........well I could go on forever.
Rocdoc, With all the hype and preparation, I too worried that it would not meet my lifelong expectations. It didnt. It exceeded them 100 fold!
jeepers,littlelisa, mauihereicome - I am sure I will enjoy it and I am not jaded to other beautiful, tropical places even though I live in Florida. I get just as exciting seeing tropical places that are new to me (like several in the carribbean). Each has its own unique feel and look.
Second half of workday isn%26#39;t quite as bad as the first...STILL got mind halfway to Maui :%26lt;
Been home three days and my mind is still halfway to Maui. There is a peace that settles over you while you are there that is hard to describe. Just be sure to slow down and relax. I can never understand the people who try to drive like they are in LA and get frustrated with little stuff! Enjoy your trip!
chicogirl - thanks and look forward to seeing your write up on your trip.
I%26#39;m thinking about getting around to starting a trip report...soo tired and lazy. Really, we don%26#39;t do anything touristy or very interesting. Maybe tomorrow.
I finished my last day of work today before my trip, so now I am just waiting ... And getting a little ansy!
I even asked my wife what I could do to help, and thats not like me, as everyone knows now.
:)
Puzzled, I am so excited for you! It truly is paradise! And dont forget to take in the intoxicating scents as soon as you arrive...minus the jet fuel! ( maybe save the really deep breathing for a few blocks from the airport! )
For those who have already been to Maui do you think it will be very different from Montana?
