Seafood restaurants in Waikiki

As there is a great big ocean all around the islands I%26#39;m guessing that seafood will be readily available - I certainly hope so.

Any recommendations for places to get good seafood in Waikiki will be appreciated.

Bar none, the best place for seafood that comes with an oceanfront-on the waterfront 180 degree panoramic view looking back at Waikiki-it%26#39;s glittering night lites as well as over the ocean and into the horizon at sea level, and under the stars, is just outside of Waikiki called: John Dominis. 43 Ahui Street. # 808-523-0955.

paradisetrekker,

I get the impression that you like the food and the location :-) Any idea of approximate cost of cab and indication of food costs?

I%26#39;ve found the web site for John Dominis but could still use approximate cab fare from central Waikiki.

Don%26#39;t know the current cab fares from central Waikiki to John Dominis. The restaurant is no more than 1 and 1/2 miles away from the farthest point away (Diamond Head side where Kalakaua Ave. meets Kapahulu Ave.).

The cabbie will head out westward along Ala Moana Blvd. passing by the Shopping Center on the right and Alal Moana Beach Park on the left. Ahui St. is one street past Ward Ave. on the left-ocean side. Ward Ave. will be on the same side as the Shopping Center further down Ala Moana Blvd..

It%26#39;s a 4 star restaurant. Dinner for two, along with appetizers and a glass of wine shouldn%26#39;t be more than $250. Entrees are not priced more than $40. Bottle of wine would obviously be more $.

Nick%26#39;s Fishmarket as well : )
