Just returned from Maui

Our dream vacation came true! Nine nights in Maui and I thank everyone for their input on this website. Our highlight was the road to Hana. We hired Temptation Tours and it was worth the money. Our driver, Derrick, was wonderful, we received a great education about Hawaii! Our favorite restaurant was Sarento%26#39;s on the Beach and the Old Lahaina Luau was wonderful and the Warren and Annabelle Dinner show was the best. 4 months prior to our trip I made reservations for all of the above! We stayed at Maui Hill in Kihei and enjoyed Wailea, Lahaina and Kaanapali --- go to the Hula Club in Kaanapali! Old Lahaina Luau is sold out until July 8th and 400 people a night attend! I could go on and on, I kept a diary. There were 6 of us on this vacation. I hope this information helps someone.

Thanks for posting your trip report. I am thinking of hiring a tour for the Road to Hana also. Is Temptation Tours part of Barefoot Tours and are these the captain chairs in the van? I definitely am excited about doing the Road and plan to really enjoy it without having to drive it.

Also is the Warren and Annabelle show really that good? How does it compare to other magic shows? Reason I ask is I think it would be nice but the wife and kid are not really interested in seeing another magician since not being overly impressed with some of the acts in Vegas. I am also already booked for the Old Lahanian Luau so it is good to hear you talk well of it.

Yes Warren and Annebelles IS that good. It%26#39;s not so much that the magic act is terrific (and it is amazing - but in a very low-key and personal way) - it%26#39;s mainly that the show is sooooooooooo funny! My wife and I laughed more during this show than at ANY comic performance of ANY kind we%26#39;ve EVER seen. Warren had the audience in stitches.

THAT is something I haven%26#39;t done in much in awhile...laugh. I think I will persuade my wife and kid to attend the show as a %26#39;extended%26#39; father%26#39;s day gift to me.

Sounds like you NEED this vacation more than we did.

I don%26#39;t think you will be sorry you went to see the show. Just book as far in advance as you can as the theatre is VERY small and the shows are extremely popular so they are sold out well in advance.

Lordbalfor - yeah...you are probably right.

It has been a good year financially (hence the Hawaii trip) but it has been a bit draining overall. Like a lot of you, I have been doing some long days and nights. The good thing is that when we go on vaction we can have a great time just hanging around each other and doing nothing at all. I think the magic show will be just what the doctor ordered.
