any coffee lovers out there? have you tried the coffee from the different islands? which are your favorites and have you tried any other ones besides kona?

We had fantastic coffee on Kuaui at the plantation there. Actually went online and ordered some later - which was very expensive with shipping. Have never had any other Hawaiian coffee that was very good.
Also to die for breadsticks on Kauai...

aloha, halemau,
Molokai muleskinner coffee is one of my favorites. It%26#39;s tasty, it%26#39;s different, and it supports Molokai farms.
I also love the coffee from Honolulu Coffee Company - their roasting is very good, and even the 25% Kona is better than many 100% Konas. They get their beans from various sources. They say they avoid Kauai because the quality just isn%26#39;t consistent. Perhaps the Kauai coffees at the plantation are better.
aloha halemalu, we%26#39;ve tried just about every 100% kona coffee - and we are wild for Blue Sky Coffee, Peaberry. they have a very small production, so it%26#39;s not that easy to find. you can only get it at their coffee plantation in Holualoa - or they can mail it to you. it%26#39;s delicious - gives you a real lift without the jitters.
Kona is pretty well known now throught the world as a light body and light flavor coffee. Seems fitting due to that part of the Big Island%26#39;s rainfall. I prefer the full body and full flavor coffees from around the world. So when back in the Islands I try and get some from either Kauai or ones grown on the Hilo side of the Big Isalnd where rainfall is more prevalent to produce coffee beans of fuller body and flavor.
On a side note, I like the fruit flavored wines that are coming out of Maui. I can even gourment cook with some of them. I get them at Cost Plus World Market here on the mainland.
