Windward Coast

Any good places to eat? and what beaches are a MUST see!?

Windward Coast

Winward is the east side, correct? I always get this mixed up! My top three fave spots are on this side. 1) Lanikai, 2) Waminaloe Beach, 3) Kailua. Love them all! You cannot go wrong at any of them. This side is much better for wading and such.

Can%26#39;t advise about food as we packed a cooler when we went from Waikiki to these spots so we could just be on the beach for 6-8 hours a day.

Aloha

Windward Coast

I like Buzz%26#39;s Steakhouse in Kailua -- no credit cards are accepted though.

Lanikai Beach is a must! A great place to eat lunch is Giovanni%26#39;s Shrimp Truck located north of Lanikai on windward side (east side).

Actually Giovanni%26#39;s Shrimp truck is more north than east... so I would consider that on the Northern coast of the island... but a MUST eat nonetheless :) Love the Garlic shrimp!

In Kailua, for casual eats, Teddy%26#39;s has excellent burgers/shakes, Big City Diner has great comfort food w/full bar.

For more upscale food/casual atmosphere dining, try Lucy%26#39;s.

Kailua Beach is a must on Windward side.

The Shrimp Shack (coach food truck) in Haleiwa. Matsumoto Shaved Ice. Haleiwa Shaved Ice. Kailua BBQ %26amp; Okazuya, Casablanca. (There%26#39;s also a chocolate factory-store on the northshore, but I temp. forgot it%26#39;s name.)

Waimea Bay %26amp; it%26#39;s diving rock, Lanikai Beach %26amp; the 2 Mokulua Islands w/ it%26#39;s seabird and reef sanctuary, Sherwood Forest in Waimanalo.

Forgot to mention... Jameson%26#39;s By The Sea in Haleiwa, and Buzz%26#39;s Steakhouse and Big City Diner in Kailua.

Thank you all for your input...I will definately try to get some of these places...
