Lahaina restaurant

We are going to Maui for my in-laws anniversary. We are looking for an upscale restaurant to take them to. I was told there was one at the very end of Lahaina with a beautiful outdoor patio. Anyone know the name of this, or have other advice?

(ps we are staying in Makena, if that makes a difference)

Recommending restaurants is always a risky business but our favorite is Mama%26#39;s Fish House just north of Paia.

Great food, Excellent service and a dynamite view.

The drive should be about the same amount of time as Lahaina.

Lots of great restaurants in Lahaina.... most with outdoor patios.....

Not sure which end you%26#39;re referring to tho. On the north end is Ruth Chris, dunno about the south end. In between you have David Paul%26#39;s (but no patio), Cafe O%26#39;lei (but not really upscale), and Cheeseburger in Paradase (so very not upscale).

Perhaps your friends were referring to either Pacific`O or I`o, at 505 Front Street.

But being that you are staying in Makena, you%26#39;d be wise to check out Capische? Capsiche? is a little-known secret (well, it was until now!), absolutely my favorite romantic place to eat on the island. The place is small, the atmosphere is intimate and Chef Brian never fails to please. Some of the other places in south Maui are hit and miss, but Capische? is always spot on.
