Package has been reserved, and now, there are rumors of a possible NWA strike. Can some of you give me some insight as to probability, and if a strike, the options...
Airfare in September and rumors of a strike!? (NWA)
NWA spends 4.6 cents per mile per passenger for maintenence and other labor costs, the highest in the industry. They have LOST 3.2 Billion dollars since 9/11.
Almost every major airline has gotten concessions from their mechanics and flight attendants.
NWA is already advertising for replacement workers and has a plan to outsource maintenence if a strike is called.
Will they strike and what effects will happen is anyone%26#39;s guess. Some flights may be canceled, delayed or passengers transfered to partner airlines.
Since most airlines are deep in the red at the moment getting a ticket on any of them is a roll of the dice at this point. I personally would not sweat it and keep on planning on everything going good. Besides, you might get lucky and have them stop flying AFTER you get to Hawaii and you can call your boss with the news that you have to stay and extra month or so.

Thanks Brighton Bill--that did help put my mind at ease (a little) the comment about calling %26#39;da boss is a good one too.
