Does anyone remember Charos Resturant on north shore and whatever happened to it? Have a new name or just gone?

Charo closed the restaurant probably more than 10 years ago. Once I saw another restaurant ';Surfer'; (something) there, but I recall last time I drove by it was empty (2004). You could contact the Hanalei Colony Resort to see if there is another restaurant there currently.

I remember Charo%26#39;s! That was the first time I saw a ';celebrity'; up close in the flesh. Last restaurant on that property was Surt%26#39;s on the Beach. Since it closed, I don%26#39;t think any restaurant has reopened in that location. Rumor has it that the Hanalei Colony Resort bought it for a convention hall / meeting area. My information is kinda old, so does anyone have any newer info?

She was on that one dumb ';B'; celebrity ';reality'; show, where they get a half dozen quasi-celebrities and/or former celebrities and put them in a house to live together

I understand she is actually quite an accomplished flamenco guitarist

Charo in Reno! She will be at the Nugget this month (June 2005).

Huh! I just ran across an ad in a fairly recent North Shore magazine. Charo%26#39;s is now called Tunnels Bar and Grill. It opened July 2nd 2004. We might check it out in the next few weeks, if it%26#39;s still open, and post a report.

Thanks everyone. I hadn%26#39;t seen it on here or in the books, so figured it was changed. I think she used to have quite a bit of land around that area way back when. I see her advertised at the Nevada clubs every once in a while. Looks the same.
