Ewa Beach Vacation Rentals

Hi there,

I%26#39;m thinking of getting a vacation rental in Ewa Beach. What%26#39;s the weather like over there? Does it get pretty windy? How are the locals, are they pretty open to tourists?

I%26#39;m debating between Ewa Beach or Kailua Beach area. Any suggestion would help.

Ewa Beach Vacation Rentals

Ewa Beach, and the Leeward area in general, is hot and dry. No where the near the rain that Kailua and the Windward side gets---so also not as green. We get some winds but not too bad.

Depends on where the rental is (many of the nice vacation rentals are right in the middle of other not so nice houses/areas)---but quite frankly, there isn%26#39;t much for a tourist to do here. You will spend all your time in traffic getting to wherever and whatever else it is you want to see on the island. (There is only one road out of town and it is jammed 6-9am and 3-630pm.) There is a LOT of building going on here but the infrastructure has a long way to go to catch up. There are no nice restaurants--just small joints and fast food and a few grocery stores. And, the beach isn%26#39;t really a good and isn%26#39;t in a good area.

It%26#39;s a fine place to live but I wouldn%26#39;t consider it a vacation destination.
