We are taking our first trip to hawaii. We were lucky and just booked two weeks with rci condo. The first week on the Big Island and then 2nd week on Kaui. I need to book airfare next from boston for the last week of june and first of july. Anyone%26#39;s experience-should i also book now for the island hopper flights. We want to also spend four nights at the end of our trip on Oahu and fly home from there

You do not have to book now for the island to island trips...you can do that from either your hotel or an outrigger hotel...on oahu- make sure that you go to the polynesian cultural center...i would recommend the ';tour'; that includes the all you can eat buffet that has crab legs and seafood instead of the ';luau'; which is the same amount of money for less choice of food...places to eat on oahu-ZIPPY%26#39;S, there are many locations, better food than Denny%26#39;s and more reasonable prices...the past 3 trips to the islands, we stayed at the outrigger reef on the beach hotel, great breakfast buffet-you can use the coupons from the coupon books found on the street to use at the buffet.:) make sure before you leave you go to walmart or kmart(yes they have those there) to get your souveners for a better price...hope this helps-Aloha!

I would not wait until you are already in Hawaii for the interisland flights. When we were there in 2004, we were flying on standby basis, all flights were full all day. And employees of the airlines told us that they do not even fly standby because they know they will not get on. I would book the flights when you get your flights from Boston booked, or soon thereafter.
