I guess we have really bothered some folks with our chatting. I don%26#39;t like the tone of things, or the anger that Budweiser spews. I think I will take a long forum break. Read on...

IMO Budweiser has %26amp; had alot to contribute to the Hawaii forums, I enjoy the straight forward approach. No nonsense.

Things that bother me %26amp; others about the forum:

I go to one titled ';trip report'; It said: Ha Ha, I went out to dinner.

I think I might be reading a trip report but it%26#39;s chat.

I go to one titled ';Destressing in Maui'; it%26#39;s about some family over for the weekend (more chat)

';Maui swim wear'; turns in to some adult topics (not for young eyes to read)

';Suitcases buried'; nothing but chat.

';Michael Jackson jokes'; This is the most inappropriate place for any so called joking about kids.

This is just a few.

Please don%26#39;t be offended, it seems to me that many other forum readers have been complaining and/or turned off about people taking over the tripadvisor forum for use as a personal chat room. I think the people should all exchange your personal email addresses and communicate with each other elsewhere. the forum is Really about travel - it%26#39;s fun for the posters to throw in *some* personal stuff - but you guys have been over the line about fruit and adult talk and whose going where on errands, and business meetings, and everything else under the sun. after the subject of the original posting has been exhausted, you guys are playing a game of keeping it going that others find pretty boring to read, because you%26#39;ve changed the focus to your own personal stuff. the point of a posting is not to see how many people will reply - having 175 replies to a posting isn%26#39;t a goal. Especially if the majority of the postings are about each other, and about non relevant stuff. yes, I%26#39;ve particpated, too, but I think you guys are taking it too far and using tripadvisors for a personal chat room. You guys should continue to participate on the tripadvisor forum but with more discretion. I hope others will respond to this - and let their feelings be known without it going into the typical banter I%26#39;m sorry but it%26#39;s getting boring.

Hey guys, I vote for this approach, ignore this person. Maybe they will go away and stop causing problems. As for the ';destressing post'; yes I did re-cap my weekend but I also went on to ask how many people think maui is a great place for stress release. I believe that would classify as a legitimate Maui travel topic.

As I said before, yes our threads do get off topic but they always begin witha Maui related topic and I do believe that we answer questions for travelers and are helpful I try to read all posts and answer anything that I feel I can.

Thanks Hula. I keep wondering who ';DaDa'; is - the first time he/she posted I was sure it was Jeeper or Harlee....but I don%26#39;t think either of them would write what was posted above. Older daughter is going to yoga tonight (she just got home from work) maybe I should go with her!!!

I went shopping! There is a new store in our mall, not bad - not great, but not bad! I felt better til I came home and checked the forum.

I am new to all of this but I have gained great info from all of you. And the friendly joking is a joy to read. I don%26#39;t know what the story is with this person and I am sorry for causing trouble by saying ';so there'; at the end of my post. Please forgive me.

Time was were it was a fun diversion with good information thrown in and nothing more.

Why the snide attitudes and why people can%26#39;t take what they want from it and ignore the rest is WAY beyond me.

I%26#39;m sorry to see it deteriorate into what it is now.

This, or any forum that takes itself too seriously and where humor OF ALL KINDS is not welcome is a lifeless and boring forum indeed.

The naysayers and attitude mongers have pretty much killed it for me so, as much as I have enjoyed most of you people%26#39;s wit and delightful input, the conflicts are popping up way to often and it simply is no longer fun.

I wish I could have met some of you, continue to enjoy Maui and have a good life. Lew
