Non-Smoking status in Maui

Do they have any laws about non-smoking in public places in Maui??

I don%26#39;t smoke.. and I%26#39;d rather not be around it if possible.

Are there any clubs/bars in Maui that are smoke-free?

I am pretty sure that all of the restaurants are not smoking, as are bars. You can smoke at most resort pools and outdoor areas though. I know for a fact that the Westin Maui is a non-smoking hotel. ALL of the rooms there are non smoking. You can smoke at the pools, but not by any of the bars. Even their outdoor pool bars are non smoking. It was nice for me to stay there as I am a recent ex-smoker, so I didn%26#39;t have to be around it much at all.

I am a smoker but find it offensive to smoke in any building or home or condo. It does smell really bad. When smoking I try to keep down wind of people and I carry a zip-lock sandwich bag with me for the butts as I refuse to throw them on the ground. I picked up to many when in the Army. The called it policing the area.

In Maui, smoking is still allowed at bars and nightclubs. All restaurants in Maui County are smoke-free. I found this under smokefreeworld.com (under Hawaii)

We need to work on him, folks. Please I have tried and tried. I am so stinkin addictied it make me sick. I sould sue the tobacco companys oh yea they all read did that. How come I didn%26#39;t see any money from that one. Tabacco should be a controlled substance.
