What condo did you stay in when you were in Maui? I have checked the Maui Kai and that looks pretty good, check my reply to your post. Not too sure about that area though. Have read so much about the Wailea area and how great the weather is (not much rain), would West area be as nice?

Jazzy, almost everywhere in Maui is nice. Its just what you prefer. I liked the Maui Kai for its location because you were centrally located without being on the really busy side of Kanapali. Its true that the beach front is rocky, great for snorkeling and there is a great swim beach not twenty steps to the right in front of the Embassy suites. All the condos are ocean front, so close to the water that you could spit in it...but dont! lol
We were there the first of may and it didnt rain once. The only clouds we even saw were in Hana.
